Eurotunnel (www.eurotunnel.co.uk)

Eurotunnel run 3 or 4 departures per hour in the summer months and trains depart from Folkestone arriving at Calais 35 minutes later. From there it is a 5 ½ hrs drive to Razay. Take the coast motorway to Rouen and then head down south via Evreux, Dreux, Chartres, Chateaudun & Blois. The autoroute tolls are less than €10 compared with about €50 if you go via Paris or €40 if you go via Le Mans. Contact us for more detailed driving directions.

Eurostar (www.eurostar.com)

Book this well in advance and you can get a very good price. Well worth it if there are only one or two of you joining a group who already has a car, though of course you could opt for car hire as well for the ultimate of easy journeys. It is easier to tie in with the Montrichard trains as there is more choice than the plane arrival times.

You can book a ticket all the way from London St Pancras to Tours (St.Pierre des Corps) for as little 80-90.

Eurostar leaves from London St Pancras and the gate closes 40 minutes before departure. Change at Lille for St.Pierre des Corps (this side of Tours ) or, if there isn't the connection there you can go to Paris Gare de Nord, cross Paris and get the TGV down to St.Pierre des Corps from Paris Montparnasse. The journey, via Paris, takes between 5 and 6 hours depending on the time of day and connections.
